Topic: Treo 650 Sound Problem (Read 2035 times)

Finally my Treo 650 has to be sent for a replacement. It happened immediately after I used the wired headset (while watching Harry Potter movie) yesterday. Since then, I could not hear voice. I can still hear the ringtone but not the voice. The bluetooth also didn't work. Only with the wired headset. I hard-reset it few times. Downgrade the FW to the official one.....still to no avail.
Finally called Palm & they simply asked me to hard-reset it once & then gave me a SO number...and DHL account no so that DHL can come & pick-up my Treo.

Sent mine on 6th Dec...got it today. I thought a refub unit...but every slot is very 'tight'  |

I think better. FW is 1.28 Phone software is 1.13

The same problem happened to my new treo 650 during the first week of usage. Luckily palm1 replaced a new unit.
Today one of my friend also facing the same problem. It looks like this has becomes a common problem for the recent batch of Treo650........

Mine was not from the recent batch. I got my Treo 650 2 weeks before its launch in Malaysia.

I just got a Treo 650 and as soon as I put in my chip I get a single - i can get and make call but the audio is terrible. It's all muffled or totally inaudible. It's not the sinhle cause my cheap nokia and even another treo (a 600) works fine. Is there anything you guys can think of to fix this without sending it to Palm. Also, I stupidly lost the box - do you think I'll have a problem sending it in without it?
