I think you should use the T3's voice memo program to copy the file to card and it should be in wav format.

i am not sure how to do it... i dont see an option to copy to memory card using the voice recorder.I usually transfer the file via filez to the card as my recording is usually 22mb.
i then connect the sd card to my card reader and transfer to pc. i try to hotsync but i cant see anything in my palm desktop that manages voice..
when i transfer back to ram..the voice recorder wont recognise and play it...help!!!!!
all my lectures notes are there!!!!!

Isn't it in the menu of the Voice Memo application? Sorry can't verify now as my T3 is not charged Moving it with filez will not do. You have to move it with the Voice memo app IIANM or else set the recording to SD. from http://www.1src.com/forums/archive/index.php/t-52461.htmlQuestion 12: What format does the Palm use to save voice memos? When you record a voice memo to the internal memory, the T3 saves it as a PDB file in the internal memory. When you synchronize with you computer, the computer saves it as a WAV file. When you record a voice memo to the external memory, the T3 saves it as a WAV file on the external memory card in the Audio folder. On the T3, you can move them from internal memory to external memory and vice versa. The voice memos in the internal memory are the only ones that get synchronized with the computer.

Hi Palmdoc, Accks!!! i have three pdb file over 22mb each with me , as the size was so big and could not fit to my ram or my sd ( my sd has only 128MB) so i transfered all to my pc.
When i transfered back to my palm ram , the voice recorder could not see them..!!!! ( i transfered the file from PC to SD and then using Filez from SD to Ram)
How do i fix this !!!! pls pls help as i have only one recording for these classes!!
When it synchronise we are supposed to see the file converted to wave but i am not sure where can i access it? The palm desktop ( ver 4.1e) i have does not seem to have an icon for voice memo.. i ma wondering whether i should stick with my original Palm Desktop that came with the T3.

I am not sure if there is a size limitation in the conversion by the Desktop. Perhaps as you pointed out it is also an issue with the Dekstop version. Always use at least the latest version for your Palm which came with your CD. I would in future record dirct to SD for really long recordings. You need a bigger SD card of course. As for your current problem, if the files are still in pdb and haven't been altered in anyway, then theoretically it should berecognised by the voice memo app. Unless of cours the transfer to and from by Filez has changed it in some way... Dunno. Sorry.

Create an 'empty' voice memo(or say anything in it), note the memo's time .. it should be like 5-19-am.wav (if u record at 5:19am) just use McFile to move the one you want back to ram (it will have pdb extension if you move from card) but don't worry the pdb should disapper when in ram. then go to "propteries" of the empty memo, copy the filename, erase the file, then rename your sd card one to that file name.. then go to memo pad and it should play Quite clever. Sounds doable.

Hi,.. finally this is what i did :
a) Deleted vPAD using FileZ. b) Reinstate the PDB file back to the ram
Create an 'empty' voice memo(or say anything in it), note the memo's time .. it should be like 5-19-am.wav (if u record at 5:19am) just use McFile to move the one you want back to ram (it will have pdb extension if you move from card) but don't worry the pdb should disapper when in ram. then go to "propteries" of the empty memo, copy the filename, erase the file, then rename your sd card one to that file name.. then go to memo pad and it should play.
c) Transfer voice memo files from the internal memory directly to the SD card from the Voice Memo application itself:
Create or open a voice memo. Tap the category pick list in the upper-right corner and select Card. Tap Done.
