Question about DocsToGo
« on: October 27, 2005, 01:14:29 PM »

Can anyone tell me if DocsToGo has the word wrap feature like the PPC reader has. Mine is a v 7.003 and does not seem to have this feature. It is quite tiring to continually scroll an article left and right in order to read it.

Hi. I am using 7.006
Text has always seemd to wrap automatically for me in Word2Go, or opening Native Word and text files too.
But I seldom use Word as an eReader. My choice would be iSilo or Plucker.
Cheers

Mine did too previously, but yesterday when I copied something from the web to Word and then got it transferred to DocsToGo it came out this way. Perhaps I should upgrade to v 7.006, or as you suggested read it from Isilo or Plucker- can save some $$ since I've already got these two readers. Thanks Doc.

Even if you decide to for isilo or plucker, upgrading will do no harm. It's free Smiley

Is there anyway to "overwrite" the previous version of DocToGo (eg. 7.006) with the latest or forthcoming versions of DTG?
Coz the DTG is pre-installed in the ROM of my Palm TX. Although i dont need the extra features from v8 at the moment, just wondering in near future, if there is v9 or 10 coming out, how would i install into the TX?

(i tried installing v8 into the TX, however after each hotsync, the log will always state that "different version of DTG found...", very irritating!)

Any application present in RAM will take precedence over the one in ROM. I'm pretty sure you have some files in there that are of the old version. I would suggest getting a utility called dataviztechtool.prc from here.

DocsToGo is notorious for leaving a lot of files scattered in RAM that won't appear in any launcher. Any mixup of these files and DocsToGo won't launch.
