TX SMS with Nokia 6230i

Hi! Even though the TX comes with the latest cellphone drivers, I can only send SMS from my TX via bluetooth via my current Nokia 6630. Can't retrieve SMSs.

Sending & receiving SMS with Sony Ericsson K700i & T610 is fine.

Being a Nokia fan, I'm thinking of getting the Nokia 6230i if it can work flawlessly with my TX.

Too bad can't find anybody who has a Nokia 6230i to test.

Anyone manage to send & receive SMS flawlessly with their Nokia 6230i?

Or should I just get a Sony Ericsson?

If you check Palm's Support site (the Phonelink update section) I think they state that for certain Nokia models, you can only send but not receive SMSs

too bad to tell u that after all these years, Palm stil doesnt have much good support for Nokia phones...

i pair my T5 with my 6230, well can only get the smses thru IR, not bt... the only Bt that is good with my T5 is for net connection... else... sigh...

Just out of curiosity - can this problem be overcome by using 3rd party software? e.g. funSMS?

Good to hear about this. Yes, as palmdoc mentioned above some Nokia's have issues with downloading SMS. Me included with my 6600. I believe this is because of the phone OS itself and not due to PalmOS.

6230 sure cannot sure cannot send or receive SMS with Palm.  Tried it with my previous T2.  If you get SE, sure no problem at all.

correct! couldn't receive sms with my other 6630 but is working fine with my 6230i. slightly slow compared to SE phones though.
