More like RM 1288 and RM 499 for the new handhelds. http://www.palm/my/

This translates to US 338 and US 131 respectively. Why are the rest of the world paying more than the retail price in the US? Prices in Europe and even non-mainland US are more expensive. What gives?
Hmmm, that's not very fair Angry... I thought that the countries which are outsourced OEM manufacturers (of the parts) for Palm should be able to seel the products at cheaper prices? Huh

Actually, it's more expensive in Malaysia. The TX and Z22 are only supposed to retail for US 299 and US 99 respectively.

It's Malaysia guys .... the RRP is RM1288. I think give it 1 month and retailers will start selling close to RM1200 with some freebies included.

PDAs are being taxed here? I thought computers (IT related) are not taxable?

hi, can voice out my humble opinion on this matter? I think palm should produce a smartphone with t/x design and features but has phone capablities, because the keyboard on my treo650 make my brain hurts, i miss the simplicity grafiti, and the large screen as on t5  Smiley

Izzit ah? Now i'm also a bit duh here Huh...

Matsham: yeah, i also agree with u here... They should produce a phone with the dimensions similar to those Motorola phones which just have a large screen for using all the features without a small keyboard... Better still, provide a 3rd-party keyboard like those produced by ThinkOutside or Targus...

MOF / Kastam screw up. Palm PDA is not a computer initially. But, now dah tak ade tax. Should be tax free in M'sia. If it is really that cheap, I'll wait Nazley to get a hands on it first. I'll follow next.
