PalmTX for Sale RM850 Asking Price (Negotiable)
« on: December 11, 2006, 10:07:20 PM »

Hello. Since I'm new let me introduce myself. My name is Kelvin Ong. I'm from Kuala Lumpur and currently working in a major local bank. However, Friday will be my last day and I'll be moving to another bank. I have no idea how that information will be of any use but I have no idea how to prove I'm not a scammer.

Anyway, I have for sale a Palm TX purchased in July'06. Its an original full package TX with everything, CD, manuals, USB data cable, charger and a 512 MB SD card + a good screen protector which was given free as part of the purchase. I have the official receipt if you want. They were supposed to provide a free TX case, but they didn't call and I was too busy that I just couldn't be bothered. Its even written on the receipt.

As you all know, the TX price is fixed. The RRP is still RM1,288 today and that's the price I purchased it for. Its written in the receipt. Not scamming.

I am looking to sell the Palm TX for RM850 as the base price, fully negotiable.

Now the reason why I'm selling. I've used it since Jul'06. Its brilliant. The screen's fabulous, functions good, etc. It keeps contacts, tasks, memos, sends and stores all my SMS which is paired to my Sony Ericsson K700i. I even have an episode of BlackAdder in it. However, while its a brilliant piece of hardware, I find I don't use most of the functions. I have barely anytime to use the multimedia functions. During work I only use the calendar, memo, task and SMS reader.

And suddenly I realize there's a fair bit of redundancy. I knew I should have purchased the E2. Alas my friend "cajouled" me to purchase the TX citing all its advantage and strength. Hence I had to pay an extra RM400 for functions I don't need.

Now, I know the TX don't command a good second hand price but I'm eager to recoup some of my initial outlay and hopefully have enough to purchase an E2. Alternatively, I'll see if the new Treo is a good option since I'm looking for a new phone as well.

So there you have it. The reason why I'm selling. I have no idea if this is the norm but its end year, I'm switching jobs soon which means no bonus for the year and its a lot working for a bank. RM850 is the asking price. Its fully negotiable and while I can post pictures of it, I have no dedicated camera, the PC I'm using to type this does not have Bluetooth and as you know the K700i does not come with a USB cable. If you're interested, give me your number, I'll take some pictures and MMS over. Or you could have a first hand look if you want. I'm ok with it.

If you're interested please do contact me at 017-6859987. SMS or call me. Again, my name is Kelvin Ong. If you want to see it first hand, I live in Bangsar. And if you want, please do tell me where's the hard reset. I have no idea how to get rid of my contacts and calendar entries after backing them up. There's the manual but I don't really read manuals.
