GPRS Seting On Globe Prepaid Number
« on: November 07, 2006, 01:05:33 AM »

Hi,

I am a Malaysian. I bought my treo 650 in Malaysia. As we all know that the GPRS setting for Malaysia telco (maxis, digi and celcom) has been preseted. No matter what telco sim card you put in, the GRPS sure work.

The problem is I also travel to Philippines. I bought a Globe prepaid number in Philippines, and try to access web (or verichat) by using my treo 650, but it doesn't work 'cause I do not have the local telco setting. I called the Globe help line, they told me Treo 650 is not in their GPRS list (obviously they don't even know what is Treo).

Appreciate if anyone can help me on the Globe setting on my Treo 650.

Thanks in advance!

You call them and find out what is their APN, username & password. Then we can help. Else cannot.

I called the Globe help desk, they said Treo is not in their list and they can't sms me the setting.
I even join Philippines Palm User Group (www.mapalad.org), some user gave me the solution, but still can not work and some said pre-paid don't support GPRS. Do know which one is true.

Thanks anywhere....

Our Treos are also not supported by the local telcos but by using the APN, username and password we can connect. Can you give the URL of their website?
